2012 Scholarship Program
The Greater Hartford Chapter #3056 of USA Dance, Inc., is pleased to announce that several college scholarships will once again be awarded to area college-bound high-school seniors this spring. The scholarships are not ballroom-specific and may be applied to any area of undergraduate study.
The selection of the recipients will be made by a Scholarship Committee consisting of ballroom professionals and amateurs. The scholarship awards will be based upon the following criteria:
· Application responses
· Academic achievement
· Community contribution through ballroom and participation in ballroom activities
· Recommendations from ballroom instructors
· Recommendations from high school teachers/guidance counselors
· Financial consideration
The completed application must include:
· Copy of grades/transcript
· Copy of college acceptance letter
· Written recommendation of a high school teacher or guidance counselor
· Written recommendation of ballroom instructor
The deadline for application submission is Friday, April 27th, 2012.
