Scholarship Night -- July 16, 2011
The Greater Hartford Chapter was truly pleased to present college scholarships to 2 very deserving, very new high-school graduates. The recipients were selected based upon their application submissions, which consisted of an essay describing how ballroom has impacted them personally and academically, their cumulative GPA, their responses to application questions and recommendations from both their ballroom instructors and high school teachers/guidance counselors.
The recipients of the 2011 scholarship program are:
- Annie Rockhill of Thomaston who will be attending St. Joseph College, majoring in Nutrition; and,
- Rachel Patton of Glastonbury, who will be attending George Washington University, majoring in Foreign Relations.
Scholarship Committee members included: George Fragassi, Kent Marshall, Cheryl Racco, Patricia Williams and George Ziminski.
The Chapter wishes our scholarship recipients all the best in their academic, career and dancing endeavors!
